Mak & Williams Flexitank Supply Limited (M&W)
Mak & Williams Flexitank Supply Limited (M&W), established in Hong Kong 2008 by YF Mak and Steve Williams, is a pioneer in the design and development of single trip multi-ply flexitanks.
Dating to their time with Logis Limited, Mak and Williams were deeply involved in the development of the very first single trip disposable flexitank under the brand name „Klean Tank‟ Flexitank, launched in 2001.
In July 2003, Mak & Williams successfully conducted the first rail impact test with their own prototype multi ply design flexitank. The rail impact test, witnessed by Lloyd’s Register of UK, was conducted at the SCNF rail testing center in Tergnier, France and is considered a precursor to the rail impact testing now required by the Container Owners Association (COA) members for all flexitank manufacturers worldwide.
Note:
- M&W‟s wholly owned Guangzhou/China OEM factory “Guangzhou Hejin lastic Manufacturing Ltd” had winded up ceasing flexitank production in August 2019 because of commercial decision.
- Starting from September 2018, all order of MW brand flexitank for Hejin/Guangzhou were shifted to Mitra Flexitechin Jakarta.
